The 52nd Diamond Quest occurred in the Outback Sunday night with a gathering of some of Duel of Fists’ biggest and brightest stars competing for the illusive ranking of Diamond! These events always involved rowdy crowds, lots of alcohol, and the participants barely crawling away in the end! They’re certainly something to behold!!!

To make the evening even more difficult for those participating (as if that was necessary), the tournament was held with six round robin rounds and then the four with the best record proceeded on into a single elimination style. The level of violence and carnage would have made even SUUUUPER Des smile with glee!!!

The evening started out with some verbal jabs between Cas and Art over what Art took as a slam against the other competitors! According to our sources, Cas was quipping about the length of his challenge with Matt and stating how he could more than likely win the entire tournament in less time than that marathon challenge. While we don’t believe it was a slam, it was the typical sort of arrogance that always gets Cas into trouble!!! Somebody should really muzzle him before he goes out into public!

…And little did Cas know just how long it would take to find a winner out of this batch! Poor DoD-er Rena was on duty for the entire five and a half hour tournament! Thankfully for DoD-er Rena’s poor eyes, Big Britches Erin came in to assist as well!

At first it seemed that Smokin’ Sartan seemed to have the most vocal fanbase which consisted of his good friend Nova and his mistress/his friend’s girlfriend Hodge.  However, it quickly became apparent that Speedster Nova was rooting for whomever was winning as he was also heard cheering for DoD-er FLAWLESS Koy and MAN-tastic Matt! At least Speedster Nova keeps things entertaining!

We hear that Big Britches Erin was asking people to remove our cute little head!!! A threat against our life!!! We’re appalled!!! We promote peace and good will and are so above violent means to solve problems. It’s a sad, sad day when a pink-haired man can’t blog without death threats! Have no fear, our loyal readers! We shall not be dissuaded by such heartless acts. We will continue bringing you the TRUTH without fail!

It seems that Art wasn’t the only one that Cas offended through the night. He was also heard exchanging words with another participant, Ria Graziano. Evidently, Ria didn’t take too kindly to some remark that Cas made to make fun of one of his opponents! Ria called him out on his arrogance but Cas said it wasn’t arrogance, he was just “belittling” his opponent. Classy! Waaaay classy! Cas also chose that moment to make a crass comment about a lecture on arrogance coming from a member of the Wrecking Crew. Wow, he certainly knows how to make friends!

Speaking of arrogance, Blue-Haired Bimbo Harris was there to fight and we really wonder how anyone else managed to breathe for all the space his ego takes up! He was overheard telling Bran that he is nothing until he wins and when Bran told him not to get his shorts in a bunch, Harris said that they weren’t because he knew he was better than Bran. Such love!

Are we the only ones that find it horribly disturbing to see MAN-tastic Matt beating on DoD-er FLAWLESS Koy in a ring??? There love sometimes looks like some sort of sick. The pair were slated to duel one another in the round robin portion of the tournament and they certainly didn’t hold back. In the end, it was FLAWLESS Koy who emerged victorious but both seemed pretty beaten up.

After four and a half long hours, four combatants emerged to duke it out in single elimination — Smokin’ Sartan, DoD-er FLAWLESS Koy, MAN-tastic Matt, and Bran! It took another brutal hour but in the end it was Sartan who walked away with the title in his very first Diamond Quest!!!

Cutey Carley and her Hunky Carpenter Glenn were seen entering the Red Dragon Inn together on Friday night! TOOOOO CUTE! This was most certainly a date and we are so happy for it! The pair had warm drinks and playful conversation. Although, Carley did briefly allow her attention to wander to ask The Gov Kitty why winter couldn’t be made illegal. The winter is GREAT! We love snow almost as much as we love the idea of Cutey Carley and Hunky Carpenter Glenn together!!!

Bubbly Uriko was spotted in the Inn! She’s certainly been keeping a low profile lately. However, she seemed in a grand mood!!! With a mug of cider in hand, she was seen by the fire trying to keep warm and giggling infectiously! Oh, how we love her!

We knew that Wil behaving was too good to last!!! Our sources spotted him buying DoD-er Rena a cup of coffee and the pair having an intimate chat together! We told Eless not to trust the man as far as she could throw him!!! Players DO NOT change. He will break her heart! DoD-er Rena seemed politely interested but when her boss from magic school, Artemus, walked through the door, her eyes were on him!!! The pair talked of Rena’s upcoming vacation and that Artemus would be joining her halfway through it. Oooooh! Is Artemus mixing business with pleasure?!?!

SPOTTED:

- Atalanta tending bar for a couple hours. The jury’s STILL out on her. However, she seemed quite friendly and almost adorable Monday night behind the bar. We just can’t decide if she’s going to be a drama causer or not yet!

- Stitch seen talking to a redhead that appears to be the exact same redhead that was in the mural on the back wall!!! So our sources found her but they still don’t know her name!!! From the looks of her paint-covered hands, however, she was actually the artist. Aww. How cute! Somebody has a crush on Stitch!

- Soerl and his trollop Savannah in the Inn after he dropped a couple duels in the Outback and Savannah spent the night feeling generally unwelcomed. Soerl was overheard telling Savannah that he and DoD-er Rena are no longer friends!!! Le sigh! When will these men every learn??? You should ALWAYS choose your friends over a chick!

- Awesome Alain doing some hardcore drinking with DoD-er Charlie and DoD-er PJ. Somebody needs to tell that kid that hanging out with those girls is taking the fast lane to kidney failure!!! Actually, Awesome Alain’s probably already in that lane!!! Sexy Sartan broke up the party by telling PJ it was time to go home and lecturing her for drinking so much. PJ actually listened!!! We think that girl has one heck of a daddy complex.

- Wil actually behaving like a gentleman around Eless!!! He seated her, got her drinks, stood between her and a bar fight. It was almost…. chivalrous. We really don’t see this lasting too much longer. One of these days Wil’s going to revert back to his old ways and Eless will get her heart broken. We wonder if she’ll go all Sugar-on-Darren on his ass when he does!!!

- Artemus spending some time chatting with DoD-er Rena. The magically inclined Artemus tends to spend his evenings on Twilight Island but was overheard saying that the portal to those sandy shores was acting up. Perhaps some sort of spike in nexus energy caused it??? Either way, he wasn’t the only of the typically deemed “magic folk” to find their way into the Outback over the course of the night.

- The orc Koruush getting a couple duels in within the Outback’s rings! We wonder what Jake Thrash will think about this??? Is the Outback big enough for TWO orcs?!?! We seriously doubt we’re the only ones desperate to see some orc-on-orc (or orc-on-half orc as the case might be) carnage!!!

- Nutty Rory in the Outback to collect her husband Sexy Sartan for a chat!!! We have no details on the matter but he appeared QUITE concerned. We’d have loved to have witnessed that one!!! Anybody have any ideas?!?!

- Lickable Lydia tossing her drink on Locke!!! Just when we thought we’d found one of the few “nice” guys in RhyDin, Locke went and proved his true colors. WHORE-acious Erin and Lickable Lydia did not find his insults of Cowboy Jake very funny! After Lydia poured a Shirley Temple over him, Locke lost it and threw his own glass against the wall before storming out!!! HILARIOUS!

Oh, where to begin? Where to begin??? We HEART Diamond Quests because it is SUCH a gathering of the dueling venues’ most iiiiinteresting duelists! This one was no disappointment!

Artemus scored big brownie points in our book! He took quite the beating from Gork in the early rounds but humbly shrugged it off! We love good sports who don’t take themselves too seriously!!! We may have to stop bashing him so much in this blog…. NAAAAAAH!

RhyDin’s HAWTEST Dueling MWLF Caedia showed up to cheer on her husband — RhyDin’s SEXIEST Dad Kheldar! These two are devastatingly sexy and if the little one that they had along with them is any indication they make some DARN CUTE babies!!! ….And they’ve certainly made a handful of them!

Our sources tell us G’naughty Woman-Abusing G’nort seemed particularly happy to see Caedia out and about. She’s taken some extended time away from dueling since the birth of her latest batch of kids.  We told our sources that he was gloating! Despite the commonly held opinion that Caedia would not return to TDL this season, league insiders are now saying that she may have signed on for ANOTHER year with one of the TWO TDL teams that G’nort is fielding this season!

….We can’t help but wonder what sort of blackmail he’s holding over her head.

While DoD-er FLAWLESS Koy faltered in the ring, she was looking viciously fashionable while doing so! Her outfit, we’re told, was straight from her line of active wear called Ruling Body! She was dressed in a sporty cream colored fleece jacket that was belted at the waist and covered the top of her simple black leggings.  A pair of wild orchid flats added a little extra color to the outfit! We must step away to wipe the drool from our chin.

It seems that Alain and DoD-er Charlie are DEFINITELY over!!! Charlie was seen looking particularly thrilled to have Tareth, her on-again/off-again… well, whatever, around. And our sources claim that they overheard him advising his friends that he has quit the job he had that was taken him out of town and is now back in RhyDin for good!!! By the looks the pair were exchanging, it seems the he’s picked things up right where he left off!!!

…Alain did make an appearance towards the end of the night and we’re told he was shot some scaaaaary looks by Tareth!!! Wouldn’t this be so much more amusing if Lassie Cassie now tried to seduce Tareth to get back at DoD-er Charlie??? That would make this Love Triangle sooooo much more interesting!

Enough of the gossip, though! The dueling itself was quite entertaining! However, two leaders quickly emerged from the small but awfully talented pool — the Lizard Bran and experienced duelist Gork! Bran has made quite the name for himself very quickly and Gork hasn’t been in the ring much in recent months. However, it was Gork who slammed through the competition to take home the title of Diamond for this cycle! Not a bit of rust on his dueling skillz!
